His unique talent, kindness and charisma made him one of the most beloved artists, whose work still makes people of all ages smile and delight. Nikulin starred in such cult films as "The Diamond Hand", "Operation Y" and "12 Chairs", which became classics of Soviet cinema. His comedic roles remain a favorite for several generations of viewers.

Yuri Nikulin's name is included in the list of "Great Comedians of the World" of the Oxford Encyclopedia of Cinema, which highlights his contribution to world culture. For more than two decades, Nikulin shone in the circus as a clown, creating performances that were included in the golden fund of circus art. In 1982, he became the director of the Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, turning it into one of the main centers of circus art in the country, and remained its artistic director until the end of his life.
