Asterix and Obelix vs Caesar is a comedy adventure film based on the popular French comic book series. The film takes place in ancient Gaul, where a Gallic village inhabited by brave warriors is resisting the Roman army led by Julius Caesar. The plot centers on two friends: Asterix, a small but agile warrior, and Obelix, a huge strongman.
In the movie, all the scenes where Obelix eats huge amounts of food were real. Gerard Depardieu actually ate everything in front of him, including a whole pig, which, of course, did not reflect well on his figure.
