Christopher Backus is an American actor, screenwriter, and director.
The debut work on television for the young actor was a role in the comedy series "Will and Grace". Christopher, along with his actor friend Rob McElhenny, decided to move from New York to Los Angeles. Together with Rob, they starred in the popular TV series "It's always Sunny in Philadelphia."
The executive producers of the series "Game of Thrones" David Benioff and Dan Weiss are big fans of the show "It's always sunny in Philadelphia."They thought that writing the script and directing one episode would be a good creative challenge. The episode they had a hand in is called "Flowers For Charlie," which is an adaptation of the novel "Flowers for Algernon." Charlie, after taking an experimental drug, became a brilliant man who knows Chinese.
