Kate Moss is a British supermodel and actress, known as one of the highest paid models of the 1990s and 2000s. In 2007, Time magazine named her one of the "100 most influential people in the world." Kate Moss is also one of the highest–paid models of the last decade, the epitome of the "unisex" and "heroin chic" style, and has long successfully confirmed her title as a "style icon", both on and off the catwalk.

"Everything she wears turns to gold," fashion critics said of Kate Moss. Kate Moss's status as a style icon and one of the most successful supermodels in the world is part of fashion history. She inspired such famous designers as John Galliano, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood.

Kate Moss's influence on the fashion industry is very significant. At the beginning of Kate's modeling career, the fashion world was focused on supermodels of the 80s, with athletic tanned bodies. Her thin, boyishly angular figure stood out sharply against their background and was criticized for promoting anorexia. The Calvin Klein campaign with Mark Wahlberg, and later an advertisement for Calvin Klein Obsession perfume, instantly made her a household name and caused a wave of national discussions. Her popularity caused a shift towards thinner and younger models for the whole industry, and in the mid-90s she became a real ambassador for a completely new style in fashion, dubbed "Heroin Chic".

Nevertheless, during her career, Kate tried on a variety of styles and images: hippie, punk, glam rock, 1960s, ingenue, 1920s. By her own admission, she perceives experiments with clothes as a masquerade. "Clothes go in and out of fashion, but style always remains. The style should be classic," says Kate Moss herself.
