Although all the boxes are similar in shape, the bright design of the lid makes them unique. The "Buffoon" casket, created by master Danchenko from the village of Fedoskino, depicts a buffoon with a three-stringed balalaika. Buffoons lived many centuries ago, and the unusual outfit of a young man is not surprising: most likely, it was sewn in the 16th or 17th century.
The handsome, decorated with a beautiful collar, stripes and diamonds, the buffoon's doublet is painted in red and green, and on his head is a classic cap of an ancient clown with bells. An unusual small animal of the rodent family (most likely a ferret), dressed in a green outfit and a large brown saddle, settled in the center of the headdress.
The box can be given to a friend who loves to have fun and make fun of others. It can also decorate a bookshelf with works by medieval writers.
