Gift chess set made of malachite, marble and dolerite "Classic"

The "Classic" gift chess set is a high—status interior set that combines the strict aesthetics of the chess game with the expressive beauty of natural stone. The contrasting playing field of white marble and black dolerite is framed by malachite with a characteristic rich green pattern. The golden coordinate designations emphasize the solemn character of the composition and give the board a complete, collectible look.

The chess pieces are made in a classic style: smooth proportions, elongated silhouettes and carefully crafted figures of horses create a noble and recognizable image. One side is decorated with gilding, the other with nickel plating. The bases of black dolerite and light marble visually continue the design of the playing field, so that the entire set is perceived as a single piece of art.

Chess is handmade by Ural craftsmen using turning, stone-cutting and jewelry techniques. Malachite, dolerite, marble, bronze and brass are used in the work; metal elements are coated with nickel and gold of high quality. The set comes in a gift wooden box and will be a worthy gift to a supervisor, partner, collector or a connoisseur of intellectual leisure.

The natural pattern of each stone is unique, so the shade and location of the veins may differ slightly from the one shown in the photographs.
