The plot on the porcelain is dedicated to the opera "The Snow Maiden" by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov based on the play of the same name by A.N. Ostrovsky. The drawing was created by Lyubov Tsvetkova, for whom the process of working on the series has become a real art history study. The artist studied theatrical sketches of the XIX-XX centuries, worked in the vaults of the Bakhrushinsky Museum. The author used images of various costumes and decorations created by Viktor Vasnetsov and Konstantin Korovin as a basis. The cup depicts the characters of the opera: the Snow Maiden, Lel, Tsar Berendei, Mizgir and Kupava; on the saucer are spring flowers, and on the side of the dessert plate are Santa Claus and Spring is Red. The highlight of the new series is the brown–painted graphics (in the ballet series, the graphics are black) and the tiny golden lyre located on the inside of the cup.
