"I owe my father only my life, and my teacher a life quite worthy of a human being," the famous commander Alexander the Great said of his tutor. It is unlikely that there is a person in history who would have such a lasting influence on the world as Aristotle. For more than two millennia, science has relied on the works of the Greek philosopher, of which only a quarter has survived. But it was enough to lay the foundations of logic, theory of poetry, scientific rhetoric, grammar, make discoveries in the field of zoology and comparative anatomy, and even anticipate Darwin's theory. The Lyceum of Aristotle was the "institute of advanced studies" of that time and became the prototype of the modern university.
The publication contains works reflecting different facets of the philosopher's talent. "Analytics" is the doctrine of logic, which acts as a tool for any science. In the treatise "Politics" Aristotle comes to the conclusion that the best state structure will be one where virtue and legality prevail, and this is possible in any form. "Rhetoric" is dedicated to the art of persuasion based on a system of evidence.
