After going through difficult trials, the family of Peter and Fevronia became a model of pious matrimony. Having lived all their lives in devotion and fidelity to each other, Peter and Fevronia became monks in their declining years. Legend has it that they died on the same day and, despite the fact that they were tried to be buried separately, their bodies miraculously ended up in the same coffin. The remains of the saints are located in the Holy Trinity Monastery of Murom.
