The icon "The Lord Almighty" is one of the most popular icons in Orthodoxy. It can be found in any temple; moreover, it is located in the most prominent place. Jesus Christ is represented on it as a being personifying divine power and earthly power: this is evidenced by his clothes – blue hematium (a symbol of heaven) and red chiton (blood as a symbol of earthly suffering and absolute power on the planet).

Jesus is depicted with an open book, the law of God, and is engaged in preaching true knowledge. The icon was created about two centuries ago, but until the 9th century the divine origin of Jesus was not recognized, and the apologists of the holy Trinity were persecuted. If you believe in the existence of an Orthodox god and do not have an icon of the "Lord Almighty" at home, the egg icon made by the artist S.Ryabov can become its replacement.
