The plot on the porcelain is dedicated to the opera \"The Snow Maiden\" by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov based on the play of the same name by A.N. Ostrovsky. The drawing was created by Lyubov Tsvetkova, for whom the process of working on the series has become a real art history study. The artist studied theatrical sketches of the XIX-XX centuries, worked in the vaults of the Bakhrushinsky Museum. The author used images of various costumes and decorations created by Viktor Vasnetsov and Konstantin Korovin as a basis.<br \/>\r\nThe cup depicts the characters of the opera: the Snow Maiden, Lel, Tsar Berendei, Mizgir and Kupava; on the saucer are spring flowers, and on the side of the dessert plate are Santa Claus and Spring is Red.
