The spherical shapes of the new lamp resemble blood cells, and the pipes leading to them resemble the vascular system through which they move.
Being a physician by education, designer Taras Zheltyshev works closely with the topic of human physiology, endowing his objects with subconsciously familiar functions and features. According to the new legend of his Yoomoota art universe, Dif is a lamp made of earth cells sent by the hero Thymus to our planet to protect against infectious agents (Viroids and Bugs). The cells are stored in the backpack of the Thymus in the form of living and inanimate objects, whose image scares away enemies.
On Orgignon (the planet about our body, which tells about biochemical and physiological processes), such lamps are used as amulets. They turn on during dark nights when cities are attacked by infections.
"Every object, whether it's a sculpture or an element of interior design, is not just an illustration of the processes inherent in people, but an important allegory for me. Therefore, the Dif lamp not only physically protects residents at night, but is also an important guide and support. It is a light that illuminates the darkness and allows you to protect yourself from irrational fears, and each of us faces them," explains Taras Zheltyshev.
