The permanent leader and frontman of the legendary band "Time Machine" Andrey Makarevich* is an incredibly versatile personality – a traveler, TV and radio presenter, musician, singer, bard, poet, writer, producer. From an early age, he played the piano, and later went to music school, but did not graduate. From the age of 12, he began learning to play the guitar, listening to the songs of Bulat Okudzhava and Vladimir Vysotsky, along the way composing poetry and playing yard-campfire and bard songs. The band "The Beatles" also influenced the musician's creative path at a young age, as Makarevich himself says, he became a Beatleman.
The musician's first band, The Kids, was founded in the eighth grade and its main repertoire was cover versions of foreign compositions, and in 1968, together with classmates Alexander Ivanov, Igor Mazaev, Pavel Rubin and Yuri Borzov, the musician created the Time Machine group.
The musician's guitar case, which has a variety of stickers on its surface, is part of his biography. From the images and inscriptions, you can read the fascinating story of Andrei Makarevich's travels, performances, and hobbies*.
There is also a Billy Joel Bridge tour (VIP) sticker on the guitar case for a special guest at Billy Joel's concert. Billy Joel's 1986 tour was an incredibly important event in the history of Soviet music lovers. A year later, in July 1987, having surprised many of his fans, the musician went to the USSR with concerts: as part of the "The Bridge" tour, Joel held six full-fledged rock shows in Moscow, Leningrad and Tbilisi. The musician's idea was to dispel the myth of communist enemies and, with the help of rock and roll, "cut a window" for the West in the USSR.
Another sticker on the case of Makarevich's guitar* is the personification of the brightest events in the history of the Soviet Union, the 1988 Winter Olympics. This Olympiad was the 9th for the USSR and brought the first team place.
