Andrey Yastrzhembsky is a Soviet physicist and thermal engineer. Specialist in the field of technical thermodynamics and internal combustion engines, historian of the development of science. Many generations of Soviet and foreign engineers studied from more than 40 of his scientific works and textbooks.
The purpose of this manual is to create a systematic guide not only for students, but also for young thermal engineers. The proposed course is based on the program adopted at the Faculty of Mechanics of the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers.
Yastrzhembsky's textbook "Internal Combustion Engines" was published 5 times in 1929-1935, including in Uzbek. The Stargift collection presents the first edition, issued by the printing house Transpechat NKPS in a small edition of 6,000 copies.
