The tale of the fisherman and the fish is everyone's favorite work of A.S. Pushkin. The plot of the fairy tale reveals how careful you need to be with your desires. The old man, as the main character, appears in the fairy tale not as a weak-willed person, but as a humble and wise one.
In many Russian fairy tales, a miracle often happens that falls into a person's hands. Here, too, the old man caught a golden miracle fish with a seine. He worked hard for a long time for the catch, but let go of the begging fish and asked for nothing in return. He considered the miracle itself to be a reward for himself. Such silverlessness and kindness are in many ways characteristic of our people, and it is this theme that the artists touched upon in the presented product.
The Goldfish tea set consists of a cup holder with a teaspoon.
A net braided with algae is the main part of the cup holder, harmoniously combined with a handle made in the form of an old man pulling his seine. The lightness and realism of the seine is surprisingly in harmony with the fabulous, sometimes humorous, image of the old man. His figure seems exhausted by long labors, but his face is frozen with genuine amazement at the unusual catch. An integral part of the composition is the goldfish itself, placed at the top of the wave — the tip of a teaspoon. The composition dynamically turns into a dialogue between an old man and a Goldfish. And, despite the plot of this fairy tale that unfolded later, the Goldfish was and remains in our people a symbol of good luck and the embodiment of a dream.
