Osip Charlemagne is a Russian artist, a representative of the Charlemagne artistic dynasty. During the First World War, he created popular print prints of patriotic themes.
The collection features an original lithograph by Osip Charlemagne. The plot of the drawing reflects the events of 1914, near the village of Yaroslavitsy, when the cavalry division under the command of General Keller defeated the 4th Austrian cavalry Division. Remarkably, historians consider this battle to be the last cavalry battle in world history.
A similar lithograph is kept in the State Historical Museum.
