Thomas Edison is an American inventor, creator of the phonograph, improved the telegraph, telephone, cinema equipment, and developed one of the first commercially successful versions of an incandescent electric lamp.
The exhibit presented in the Stargift collection is unique in its kind, it combines not only the inventor's autograph, but also amazing details.
The postage stamp was delivered in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 22, 1885 on the obverse and in New York on June 22, 1885 on the reverse, contains one Washington stamp for $ 0.02. The special value of the letter is carried not only by Thomas Edison's autograph, but also by the stamp on the front side of the envelope. The stamp is in very good condition with the image of George Washington, with a small fold on the side, confirming the authenticity of the letter. The stamp has a rare serration and was released in a limited edition.
Surprisingly, Edison's first inventions were not in demand. After that, he developed the principle: "Never invent something that is not in demand and that cannot be put into practice."
