Why did the writer put his autograph on one of the early issues of an adult magazine? It turns out that his most famous novel, Fahrenheit 451, was published in serial format on the pages of this print edition. The book was written in less than two weeks on a rented typewriter at the Los Angeles Public Library.
The magazine's pages often featured stories by famous writers. In addition to Bradbury, they included Ernest Hemingway, Vladimir Nabokov, Stephen King and others. Many American intellectuals read Playboy's reports and political publications with interest. It is precisely because of the high quality of the texts in the magazine that a joking expression appeared in America: "I only read Playboy because of the articles."
