Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich is a unique collection set based on the 1898 play of the same name as part of a joint project of the Imperial Porcelain Factory and the Biennale of Theatrical Art Festival. Directing lessons". This set is the first work in the history of the IFZ dedicated to the art of drama theater. The decor was designed by Lyubov Tsvetkova. The artist is known for her series dedicated to famous ballet performances. The development of sketches has become practically an art history study. To do this, the artist worked in the archives of the Moscow Art Theater Museum and the Russian State Library of Arts, studied photographs of the performance, illustrations, and preserved costumes. The image on the coffee pair is historically reliable and in everything, down to the details, is true. The cup depicts the main characters of the play: Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich, son of John the Terrible; Tsarina Irina Fyodorovna, his wife, Godunov's sister; Boris Fedorovich Godunov, ruler of the kingdom; Prince Ivan Petrovich Shuisky, supreme governor. The artist took the painting of the chambers of the Moscow Kremlin as the basis for the decoration of the saucer, and placed the very first playbill on the dessert plate.
