La Medea

Two and a half centuries ago, the Capodimonte factory (Capodimonte is the name of the commune in which the factory was located) appeared in Naples - one of the first and most famous Italian porcelain manufactories. The creation of porcelain "Capodimonte" is a real art. The secrets of its production are carefully preserved and passed down from generation to generation. This fine porcelain is still used to produce exquisite tableware and elegant things for the home - elegant statuettes and magnificent vases.
It is quite simple to find out the works from Capodimonte - the figures have a brand name - the image of the crown and the Latin letter N (in honor of Naples).
The statuettes of La Medea are a continuation of the traditions of Capodimonte porcelain
La Medea was founded in 1967 by three partners: Ranoldi Olinto, Rizzotto Giuseppe and Sassaro Felice. Currently, the factory is run by Ranoldi Olinto's son Giuseppe Olinto, continuing the family traditions. The factory produces elegant figurines depicting genre scenes from the daily lives of ordinary people.
These figurines are made with humor and with love for their characters. The themes of the sculptural compositions are very diverse, among them there are many statuettes depicting representatives of different professions engaged in their business.
