The history of Sambonet began in 1856. Giuseppe Sambone, the son of a nobleman and a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, founded a company that became the official supplier for noble families.
In 1932, Sambonet became the first company to build an industrial production plant that produced both electroplated and pure silver. After 6 years, the company has developed an innovative stainless steel tableware manufacturing process and developed a silver-plated steel production technology. 9 years later, Sambonet began to produce stainless steel blades and knives using its own technology.
In 1956, Sambonet became the sole supplier of tableware for the Hilton Hotel: it is still in the collection. This step marked the beginning of the company's tradition of supplying tableware to world-class hotels and restaurants.
In the 60s, the company began to pay special attention to tableware design. This is how the collections "Linea 50", "Peschiera", "Central Line" were created, which are kept in the New York Museum. Subsequently, a line of vials was developed for the Italian brand, for which the designer, Anna Castelli Ferrieri– received an award. Today, Sambonet tableware is considered an icon of elegant serving, and the manufacturer is a leader in creating high–quality designer kitchens and countertops for business and retail.
