About this product
Sergey Glazyev is a Russian economist and politician. Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, current member of the Board for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.
The letter is addressed to Father Vasily Fonchenkov, archpriest, member of the first Soviet church delegation to the Vatican. Since the 1970s, Father Basil has been rector of a number of Orthodox monasteries and churches in Europe and editor-in-chief of the largest Orthodox magazine in Western Europe. Since 1994, he became rector of the main Orthodox church in Salzburg, where the letter was sent along with Glazyev's book from the Stargift collection.
It is curious that Sergey Glazyev is an adherent of the idea of an "Orthodox economy", in which most of the rich population are deeply religious entrepreneurs who are able to spend huge amounts of money on charity. The economist also argues that Orthodox entrepreneurship is now experiencing a new flourishing.
